Samsung Electronics has announced the Samsung Smart App Challenge 2013, a global contest to create new applications for the GALAXY Note.
This is the second edition of the competition and will be divided into two categories ‘Smart Note Apps’ and ‘Smart Tablet Apps.’
A grand total of $1.1 million in prize money will be awarded to the 12 winning application entries!
Smart App Challenge – Samsung Mobile SDK
When they develop their apps, contestants are required to use the ‘Pen’ or ‘Look’ package provided by the Samsung Mobile SDK. The Samsung Mobile SDK is composed of 10 independent packages including ‘Pen,’ and ‘Look,’ among other specialized APIs, creating an integrated environment for developers. You can download the Samsung Mobile SDK from the Samsung Developers website.
Excitingly for mobile developers and digital entrepreneurs, in addition to the cash prize the final contestant winners will be evaluated by Samsung Venture Investment as potential investment candidates! Those selected will be given the opportunity to promote their apps through Samsung’s global channels, including developer conferences and international events like MWC 2014.
