“Congratulations, you’ve reached the end of this internet. Look for another?” That’s the message you now see when you try to use the Google Reader bookmarklet and have read all the posts within your subscriptions. Even though it’s a joke, it might leave a bitter taste for diehard Google Reader fans to swallow now that the service is gone.
Google Reader was integrated into many of Google’s other apps which all seem a little less useful today. While Google Reader may be the most popular app Google’s ever axed, it’s certainly not the first.
So if you were a fan of Google Wave, Google Talk, or even the late Google Buzz, take a stroll down memory lane to pay a moment of silence for the many services fallen in Google’s past.
