Google Launches New Domain Registration Business

Every great website, like Facebook and Yahoo, initially got started with a simple domain name registration. But did you know that 55% of business still don’t have a website? Given the opportunity and Google’s stronghold in the search engine marketplace, it’s just launched a new domain registration business called Google Domains.

The site is only available through private invite for now and offers people a marketplace to buy, transfer and sell domains. New domain registers can create up to 100 email addresses and subdomains per site. Everything will be run on Google’s super fast DNS server infrastructure, which is sure to keep response times for your sites quick. However, no hosting space is being offered at this time.

Google is now offering hundreds of different domain extensions for purchase including easy forwarding, customizable sub-domains, branded emails and other domain management tools. The platform is also integrated with website builders and eCommerce hosts Shopify, Squarespace, Wix and Weebly. Google also mentioned in its statement that once all the features are complete after a successful trial period, the site will be available for all to use soon.
