Glassdoor has ranked the CEOs of major companies based on 2014 employee ratings and the results are in! Jeff Weiner of LinkedIn takes the gold, with a 100% approval rating from employees. A close second is Alan R. Mulally at Ford with 97% approval. Taking home bronze is Richard W. Edelman, CEO of Edelman, with 97% as well.
The rankings were determined solely on feedback from the last 12 months from employees at companies with 1,000 or more employees. The method is simple, according to Glassdoor: the survey asks employees whether they approve of the way their CEO runs the company. Glassdoor states on its website:
CEO approval ratings are calculated similar to Presidential approval ratings.
LinkedIn beat out social media powerhouses like Facebook and Google, ranked ninth and tenth respectively, with 93% of employees approving of Mark Zuckerberg and Larry Page. There are also some interesting and unexpected companies making the list including Chipotle and Victoria’s Secret. Check out everyone who made it into the top 50 here:
