Have you ever wanted to start a band? With today’s launch of Fan Republic, it’s easier than ever for aspiring musicians like you to get their projects funded and gain a chance of being discovered by a major record label.
Fan Republic is the first ever collaboration between a music label and a crowdfunding platform. Each project will be evaluated by the A&R team at Island Records, which is offering great rewards like deals on studio rates, cheap video production, car rentals and more for musicians who meet their funding goals. Artists who fund through Fan Republic will also be able to preview the new Indiegogo Outpost feature that lets users run campaigns on their own websites and on Indiegogo simultaneously.

In the next six months Island Records will select one successfully funded campaign for a single release. Plus, Abbey Road Studios is offering to make a remix of a single for another funded campaign.
