How would you like an essay with that burrito bowl? Starting today Chipotle is rolling out newly designed cups and bags featuring essays by famous authors and comedians, including Nobel prize-winning author Toni Morrison and SNL veteran Sarah Silverman. The essays cover a broad range of topics but are all meant as light, two-minute reads to accompany your meal.
The lineup of featured authors is truly stunning, with essays by Jonathan Safran Foer (who spearheaded the initiative and curated the essays), Malcolm Gladwell, Michael Lewis, Bill Hader, Judd Apatow, George Saunders, Steven Pinker and Sheri Fink in addition to Morrison and Silverman.
The series, coined “Cultivating Thoughts” by Chipotle, will make its way to all Chipotle locations in the coming weeks. I don’t know about you, but if there are two things I love in this world, they are burritos and essays. So I’m super excited!
